Recently I was caught in a snow storm, taking my daily walk. Flake by flake I saw each swirling new frosty ice crystal add its bit to the mass as my eyes got cold. The next day a deep mass off snow was collectly on my tin roof, sparkling in the sunshine, waving to the blue sky overhead.
As the sun warmed the mass of snow crept down the tin roof until it folded over the roofline, hanging in suspension. Then, suddenly it fell.
Interesting use of singular plurals here. I love that snowflakes becoming “one snow” echoed again by the wholes becoming one “whole” —
