no matter how open
the heart, the eyes can only
follow one snowflake
*
tonight a whole hat
is stitched out of the promise
just two more minutes
*
all these flowers
I’ve learned by proper name
let’s relearn by scent

R. How enjoyable to wake up to these this morning. Merci. J.

Love that hat. So true. It is also the one that flows and fits within its seventeen syllable hatband so naturally. Not a syllable out of place.
