Shattered…and every shard. — nice phrasing. The present tense of the peach in the second line strikes me as a bit odd, but perhaps I should go buy a peach and do some research….
so many ways to “bite into six years ago”… surely, also, one bite could return someone to six years old (or maybe even younger)
i’m pondering your four-year-old, who was born in(?)/on(?) (what’s the proper preposition?) an orchard, and is being raise there… Finn, is also being likewise, place-wised raised—the wonderful inscriptions they’re receiving, wrought by love and land. (I’d call it, “peachy,” but that’d be too atrocious a pun…)
