strange, even after
the door disappeared, jamb, too
I still stand
in the middle of openness
hands clasped around a knob

Left holding the ba… er, the knob, eh?
When things begin disappearing, going away, we hold onto whatever we have, at/in hand.
What if the opening word, “strange” had the line to itself, followed by “even after,”?
Now that’s a metaphysical stew. That last line, with “hands” around the doorknob, are you trying to indicate desperately holding on? because usually only one hand is required to grasp a doorknob. Except of course on the Starship Enterprise where the doors open by themselves:>)
