It sounded,
perhaps,
like
“Please,
pass the salt,”
but the subtitles
said
(I love you
I love you
I love you)
*
From clay
we came
and today
the ground
reached up
at me
I swear,
as if to say,
“You’re mine,”
and I told
it “Yes, thank you,
yes,
but I ain’t done
with this living
just yet.”
so, just ’cause you “ain’t done with this living just yet,” you don’t wanna be fully grounded?
I like the first conversation, no matter what’s said, the subtitles always read, “I love you.”
And I am a fan of the second conversation, that “…the ground reached up at me..” seems to fit with the poetic and simply with the human stumble. I like the idea of conversations, could go on with this one as a series…
yes yes yes
Yes yes yes!
Oh! R. safe journey to Salida, wish I could be there,
I’m sure you will blossom.
