not only the aspen
wear nothing, not only
the sky
*
shoveling
the walk, making a path
for the sun
*
the rose does not try
to re-adhere fallen petals—
still this impulse to fix
*
in the sky, a door,
in the door, a sky, in the
sky a door

These four each/all prove that emptiness ain’t nothin’.
I do like the circularness of the fourth “empty.”
Did you know that passing under a doorway is associated with forgetfulness? That’s your factoid for the day to fill in one of those emptinesses. Thanks for nothing x 4 🙂
