thanks
you’re welcome, Tom … I was thinking a big thanks to my mom. What a daily difference it’s made in my life, that song all those years ago
What a light she shared with you! I can see how that light radiates in your spirit and hence in so much of your poetry. My mother gave me the gift of believing in myself. After my dad left for work I often crawled into “the mother-daughter talking bed” and she would answer my questions about life. When I reached high school she told me, “You now have my more education than I; and you are smart. You can find the answers to your questions from within you.” From my dad I learned not to be concerned with what others thought of me, “Just do what you believe is right.” Outside I hear a bird tweeting, “It’s such a lovely day!” Ann
Yes, Ann, my mom is a light bringer for sure! And what a gift your mom gave you!! What a sweet ritual, the talking bed. And what a message she instilled in you. Your father, too. that little bird, too!!!
