Quiet as a rabbit
nibbling on grass,
obvious as a flicker
knocking on a tree,
surprising as a white feather
landing on my tights,
again and again,
you appear, or more truly,
again and again,
I see what has
always been here—
you in everything,
your absence
throbbing with life.
Beautifully put … physical absence throbbing with life .. popping up as presence …
oh Jazz, as you know, as you know. Hugs to you, friend.
“… you in everything…” Yes, yes, yes! Thank you, Rosemerry!
thank you, friend… it’s just so true.
Your absence throbbing with life always,Rosemerry!

thank you, dear Joanne ❤️
Your poems, like Vermeer’s paintings, have a thrilling way of presenting the ordinary and familiar in a new light. Thank you!
wow! Compared to Vermeer! I do love his work, and I do hope always for myself with poems that I am challenging myself to see the same world in a new way … thank you, Mike!
